Change Souls System Explained!

One of the many features of the Rift game that make it more versatile than other MMORPGs is the built in ability afforded to the player to store multiple specs under his soul tree. In the game, this is basically known as Rift Change Souls because it allows the player beyond a certain level to conveniently jump from one assembled build to another depending on the current needs of the game. Of course, the soul change system isn't for free but when you're fighting big, bad monsters, a few gold is the last thing on your mind anyways.
To put it bluntly, the Rift Change souls will allow a player to be a Warrior Tank one moment and Warrior DPS the next. To say that that's one major convenience is one of the biggest understatements in Rift. With the Rift Change souls system, you can basically be any player as demanded by in-game situations.
The game provides up to 4 different saved specs or soul combinations when you are maxed out. The challenge is gaining the ability to get more roles which is available via a quest starting Level 13. To be frank, it's not much of a challenge but it helps to know it isn't as easy as having to pay to get the ability. From an NPC better known as the trainer, you get two options upon completing the specified quest; you can either reset your current build which erases your allocation points and allows you to start from scratch, or getting a new role which means you can build a full spec as a back-up. Switching between roles or specs only requires pressing hot keys or pre-programmed macros although this cannot be done when it combat so it would help to plan ahead.
The Rift Change Souls is one of the most kick-ass changes to the Rift game basically allowing a player to prepare builds depending on the occasion. If you're familiar with the basics of the game, then you know there are basically a few areas you need to analyze depending on the task. You will need to have DPS build for in-group situations, a tank if you are a Warrior or Rogue and plan to play defense in a group, a healer if you are Cleric, Leveling builds for sol and PvE purposes, and a PvP build for Warfront events. With the Rift Change soul’s ability, you will have to pay your way to reset and re-spec every time wasting precious minutes in trying to get the build that you want, not to mention the extra gold that you expend by simply switching souls.
With the Rift Change souls, you can be a Warrior Tank with Paladin-Rift blade-Void Knight one minute than flip to DPS with Champion-Beast master-Paragon at a moment's notice. You will enjoy unlimited opportunities to work with a variety of builds eliminating the boredom that comes with being too familiar with a character for a long time. In other words, the game takes a whole new meaning simply with a different spec.
See if you can implement the Rift Change souls system to better serve your needs on the Planes of Telara. If there is anything important in terms of survivability, it has to be ready despite any and all challenges. With 8 souls at your disposal and 4 combinations’ to choose from, you can become virtually invincible on the battlefield.
