It's a vicious circle - Before you can upgrade your City Ville Beach Hotel you have to harvest it 10 times. But, before you can harvest your Hotel, you need to have 500 Guests check in. And it seems like that can take forever!
Why rush to upgrade your Hotel? Well, for most people, it's the challenge. They want to see how fast they can accomplish that new goal. You'll also be rewarded with a brand new Hotel Restaurant which will help add to your Coin income and increase the traffic in your Resort area. Plus, when you upgrade you'll be able to allow 10 VIP upgrades, instead of the standard 5, and that helps your Hotel fill up even faster.
If you're beginning to think you'll never be able to harvest your Hotel 10 times to meet that goal, here are 5 tips to help increase your Tourists so you can get that check-ins and upgrade your City Ville Hotel.
Surround your Hotel with businesses: When tourists visit any city, whether it's a real city or a game, they're looking for more than just a place to sleep. They want shopping and fine dining and entertainment. Make sure you have your Hotel completely surrounded with businesses - NOT Community Buildings. Community Buildings in the area will definitely help increase your traffic. But the bulk of your Tourists will be attracted by Businesses where they can spend money in exchange for Goods.
Keep your businesses stocked: Keep those businesses closest to your Hotel stocked at all times - or as much as possible, anyway. Once those shops sell out your Tourism traffic will drop off and you'll see very few check-INS this is one of those tricks that Zynga built into the game to keep you playing longer and more frequently. You MUST keep those businesses stocked if you want to continue to see Hotel traffic.
Keep your Cruise Ship busy: Each time you unload your Cruise Ship those tourists head straight for your Hotel area. So the first thing you need to do is always keep that Cruise Ship moving. Secondly, before you unload it, make sure all your businesses between the Ship and your Hotel are harvested and stocked - especially those businesses that fall within the green circle around your Hotel.
Invite your neighbors: By clicking on the Invite button inside your Hotel you can post a message that tells your City Ville Neighbors that you have vacancies. You can only post this invitation once every four hours and make sure you do it. Your neighbors want to check into your Hotel because when they upgrade to the Second Floor or ask for a VIP Upgrade they can win City Ville Rewards.
Upgrade to VIP status: Each time you upgrade one of your guests to VIP status; it counts as 5 Guests instead of just one. This helps your Hotel fill up faster. Plus, each VIP wins a reward when they come back to upgrade. Knowing that YOU stay on top of your Upgrade requests will keep your neighbors coming back for more.
