StarCraft 2 And How To Use Scouting

This is called Scouting - you are probably sitting there saying, well, I do scout in the beginning of the game. That is where you are wrong about it. Scouting is not completed in the beginning of the game, it is not completed to find the location of your opponent. Scouting ought to be completed in the mid game, & in the late game even. A shot down overseer is a little cost to pay to know what unit combinations your opponent has switched to, or when, where & if your opponent has taken that profitable gold expansion.

StarCraft is a game of chess; building huge massing units while shivering in your base can of coursework win you games against other beginners, but you will be reduced to nothing against even a slightly above average player. Think it or not, there is a reason why everyone seems to send out their overseer at the beginning of the game. No, it is not to find out where their opponent is (although that is part of it), it is to figure out what strategy the opponent is going for, so they can build the ideal counter for it.

Why? Judging by what your opponent is doing, you can know exactly what you require to do to win the game. If your opponent decides to throw down a proxy rush outside your base & you don't even have a clue, that is when the game could be over before it even began. Don't make StarCraft in to a game of 'can you guess who?'. You don't must know what your opponent is thinking, you require not be able to read minds, you require to throw down a scan, or fly an engineering bay over your opponents main, or an overseer, or an observer.

Scout at all times & know what to look for, by seeing a specific building, you can deduce what units he is building next. Resources are scarce in StarCraft two, scouting lets you meet rock with paper, meet paper with scissors, & meet scissors with rock. Also every race has to get that preliminary building that is not what you are scouting for, scout for what he is building next.

& finally Hotkeys - I cannot tell you how plenty of people I have witnessed try to play SC2 with a mouse. Basically ridiculous. Know your hotkeys. by beginning to make use of hotkeys, you will double your APM within a week which will make a huge difference in your gameplay. Know your hotkeys like you know your alphabet & you'll be able to build the ideal counters to your opponent's next assault in no time (after you have scouted it of coursework.)
