During the introductory tutorial for the Rift game, you are given the choice to pick three souls that will form your original build. However, the inherent flexibility of the game allows you save up to four total roles each composed of a different build. To do this, you will need to gain access to the remaining five souls that you did not initially pick during the introductory tutorial. This is where the Soul Quest comes in handy. Completing the Rift Soul quest grants you one new soul and you can complete up to five repetitions of the soul quest to acquire all five souls.
The Rift quest becomes available to players when they reach Level 13. Depending on your Rift faction, the location of the NPC that gives the Rift Soul quest instruction varies but in general, you should be able to find them in the main city where your faction is based. For Guardian Mages, the quests are all contained with Quicksilver College while all other Soul classes have their Rift Soul quest within Sanctum. For Defiant souls, the Rift Soul quests are all within running distance inside Meridian along Epoch Plaza and the Training Yard.
All the Rift Soul quest instructions are pretty self explanatory and they are easy enough to be completed by a player at Level 13. The important thing to remember is to do one quest at a time as unlike other quests, the Rift Soul quest lineup does not allow bunching together of quest tasks. Instead of looking to complete the whole quest lineup as fast as possible, try to enjoy every facet of the quest because you are getting a new soul that you can later spec.
As a final word on the Rift Soul quest, here is an easy reference for the location of the quest giver per soul and faction. Keep this as a handy reference so you can easily find the location of each quest when you need to.
