Nowadays it's really simple to create a website that contains flash games. You don't even have to know HTML or any programming language to do this. You just copy the embed code of a game from a website that allows this, create a page by a free hosting provider and paste the code into your HTML source. This is an easy process; however, it's not easy to create a good flash gaming website.
DO: always give credit for respective owners and developers! These games are not your property; you are only permitted to use them if you don't state they are yours. A short disclaimer on the bottom of the page will do.
DO: place each game on a separate page if possible. This makes pages load much faster.
DO: organize games into a table (if there are more of them on a single page) and take care of alignments in order to provide a tidy look and feel. Embed codes do not contain style and formatting, this is up to you!
DO: mark your advertisement boxes with strong borders, separate them from other parts of the site and make it easy for the eye to distinguish them from useful content. Otherwise your site will seem like a very big heap of ads.
DO: use social plug-in and share widgets. People like to share their favorite games and by sharing a game on your site they give more publicity to your website as well.
DO NOT: overload your pages with advertisements. This is a common mistake of beginners who want to earn money from their websites. Visitors will get confused and they won't know what useful content is and what an advertisement box is. They will mistakenly click on ads, feel abused and close everything related to your website.
DO NOT: modify the embed codes or the flash games themselves in any way! This is strictly prohibited and against the Terms of Use.
DO NOT: advertise your site by spamming forums or blogs. Besides being impolite, this can have a negative effect instead of moving your site up in search engine results pages. Webmasters have the option to report abusive sites to search engines and this can undermine your chances of showing up on their pages.
DO NOT: expect great success in the first months. Website creation is a game of patience. Search engines prefer older sites because age is a proof of trustworthiness. Satisfied visitors will link to your site, but this takes time. Search engines also need weeks if not months to recognize your back links and requite you with higher rankings.
Finally, create and maintain your website with passion! Visitors will see this and reward you with back links and positive feedback.
