Hello World of War craft players!
Cataclysm expansion is here. Players leveled up fast, farmed their gear and now they are ready to start raiding.
Raiding in Cataclysm is a bit tricky. You need to know tactics, to survive bosses' many and complicated abilities and to change targets or move fast much more often than in Wrath of the Lich King.
Boss list and difficulty:
Magmaw (1/5 difficulty)
Omnotron Defense System (2/5 difficulty)
Maloriak (2/5 difficulty)
Atramedes (3/5 difficulty)
Chimaeron (4/5 difficulty)
A short preview of each boss in Black wing Descent
Magmaw: A simple fight, with a lot of movement and many abilities. Your healers must keep the tank alive since Magmaw hits hard, all ranged will have to move pretty often to avoid adds. To beat this encounter you will need good aoe damage, fast jumps to chain Magmaw and good healers to keep your tank alive.
Omnotron Defect System: There are four golems in this encounter. Each time two of them will be active (they have shared health points). This is a really complicated fight, with many abilities, fast switches on targets and a lot of movement.
Maloriak: This is a simple encounter, with not so complicated strategy but Maloriak is the first boss that you need really good dps. Bring some high aoe damage classes and good interrupters to make this encounter easier.
Atramedes: This boss is interesting; you will discover a new mechanic from Blizzard (Sonic Bar). Atramedes is blind, but you have a sonic bar, if your sound goes too high, Atramedes will aggro and kill you. A lot of movement (again) and you should prefer ranged dps classes for this fight.
Chimaeron: This is a hard test for you healers! Chimaeron requires fast reactions and good healing. This is probably the first boss on World of War craft that you don’t need to heal much, but to heal fast!
Nefarian: You might know Lord Victor Nefarius if you used to play World of War craft before Expansion packs. On this encounter you will have to kill both Nefarian and Onyxia. A complicated fight, with many abilities and many different phases. Also, you need to be very well geared to deal with this encounter.
My personal opinion is that Black wing Descent is a really nice instance, with many abilities on each boss and with a few new mechanics. Definitely a great creation by Blizzard developers.
