To Smuggle or Not to Smuggle?

While there are not many classes in SOE's newest release quite yet, the few classes that are currently in development all have some extremely notable differences. Even those that seem like they are mirrors of each other have deep and complex nuances that can change the game entirely. In particular, the SWTOR: Smuggler vs. Bounty Hunter similarities is almost deceiving: they both favor unfair fights and are seen as slightly seedy. This is about as far as the similarities stretch though, outside of some basic class-characteristics. The differences lay in their equipment load-out, how they handle combat, and the ships that they tend to take into space.
The way that combat is handled in the SWTOR, Smuggler vs. Bounty Hunter debate is important to pay attention to. Many are hypothesizing, based on SOE's previous combat-centric game releases that pre-combat aspects will be just as important as what happens during combat. Based on the class description, it seems like Bounty Hunters and Smugglers will each take a different approach to how pre-combat factors are used. The Bounty Hunter class will likely require planning before the actual battle zone is entered, with only a small amount of flexibility should things go wrong. The Smuggler, on the other hand, is more of an improvisational class. Some aspects of combat need to be taken into consideration before combat starts, but they can be handled on the fly. Pre-combat factors include things such as how much cover is available should a gun-fight break out, if the enemy knows of the player's presence when the first hit is initiated, and where the player is located in relation to where the target is facing.
However, the Star Wars the Old Republic: Smuggler vs. Bounty Hunter debate doesn't end there though. For example, Smugglers tend to fly space freighters when they travel out of any planetary orbit, while Bounty Hunters tend to favor custom built combat ships, like the D5-Mantis. The armor that the two classes wear is also significantly different. Slightly modified casual attire is usually what Smugglers choose to don, which is a sharp contrast from the painstakingly hand-and-machine made heavy armor that all Bounty Hunters are almost required to wear due to occupational hazards.
The differences are what keeps the game exciting and also add a replay value to the game. It helps player to be able to differentiate if they would like to become the infamous Smuggler or chasing the heads for a reward.
Being a Star Wars geek, there still a lot more SWTOR projects that this author is working on

Ms Pacman

Ms Pac Man is a game that was developed to be something of a clone to the more popular Pac Man game. Let's go back in time and talk a little bit more about how Pac Man was developed so that we can have a much better understanding of where Ms Pac Man fits into all of this.
For most people, Pac Man is a game that became incredibly well known to them as a result of playing with an Atari 2600 game system. First released in the early 1980s, this particular gaming system enabled players to immerse themselves in an interactive environment where they could essentially do battle against monsters, space aliens, and also play some interactive sports. Needless to say, by today's standards of these games were shockingly primitive.
One game in particular stood out and really helped make the Atari 2600 incredibly popular. That game was called Pac Man. The basic premise of the game was that you would move around a maze like game board and devour little palettes while at the same time attempting to avoid goblins which were attempting to grab you.
Given the popularity of Pac Man, it wasn't long before game designers thought it might be a great idea to come out with Ms Pac Man. This particular version of the game was somewhat more feminized and had a little bit more flair. It became incredibly popular as well and to this day remains one of the most popular games ever created.
What a lot of people don't realize is that the basic technology that was utilized to create Ms Pac Man in the 1980s remains largely the same technology that is used today when modern versions of the game are made. This is largely due to the relative simplicity of the game itself. Just like Pac Man, the player moves around a maze like game environment eating pellets while at the same time attempting to avoid goblins. There is certainly a little bit more to it than that, but in a very general sense, that's how the game works.
You may be surprised to discover that you can actually play Ms Pac Man over the Internet. In many ways, this has opened up a lot of memories for people who grew up playing these types of games. Now, all they need to do is go online and they can have a lot of fun reliving old memories while playing Ms Pac Man by themselves or with some friends who have come over for a night of fun and entertainment

Need a Guide to World of Warcraft?

The World of War craft is a vast game based on the planet of Azeroth. Although there are many little islands on this world, there are three primary continents.
North rend
North rend as you might infer from its name is an icy land mass in the northern part of the planet and is the home of the Scourge and the evil Lich King. The frozen plains of The Dragon blight are home to thousands of skeletal remains of once great dragons.
Kalimdor
Kalimdor lies in the west and there the many races of night elves, trolls, orcs, the tauren and drained make their home. This massive continent has a multitude of micro-environments including cold tundra’s, burning deserts and thick mysterious forests and tropical jungles.
Eastern Kingdoms
The third land is called the Eastern Kingdoms and is really comprised of several small continents reaching skyward with the giant mountain ranges of Red ridge and Khaz. Many races call this area home such as the humans, dwarves, and gnomes; but probably the most notable are the elves. There are of course others.
Between these is the vastness of the Great Sea and the Forbidding Sea. The great Maelstrom whirlpool, active for over ten thousand years is centralized in the body of the Great Sea. Beware of this rift.
World of War craft Character Choices
Within these lands exist the Horde and the Alliance. Both have long and interesting lore that should be explored. As a payer of World of War craft, you will pick sides. You may battle against other players of the opposite side as well as computer controlled characters like those belonging to the Burning Legion.
Picking a server is also a critical first step. If you are to advance through the game without too much frustration, some research in picking a server will do you some good. There are sites that will tell you the percentage of Horde vs. the Alliance and how many of your race there are. They can tell you if the realm (server) is full of Wow experts or a bunch of newbie’s. There are forums that you can go to and see what kind of environment the realm is. Does it have a bunch of loud mouth unhelpful players or some teachers in the crowd?
If you would like to know more on this matter and get a little guidance then click on the link at the bottom of this article.
Once you have a realm and a race then you must start to consider your class. Not all classes are equal and not all races can be every class. A class is something like hunter, warrior, shaman, druid, etc. Race and class combinations are important factors to get right when setting up your World of war craft character.
There are many more variables that should be thought out as you build your character and get ready to enter game play.

Top 3 Tips For Expanding Your CityVille Population When Space Is At A Premium

A large part of the challenge of City Ville rests on expanding your population. You can't add businesses unless you have enough people, you can't add community buildings unless you have enough people, you can't even expand your city without increasing the head count first. But you also have to have a certain amount of businesses and community buildings or you can't add more population. This game can be so frustrating! But that's why it's so fun!
Every day, tens of millions of players are fascinated with the similarities that exist between City Ville and a real city. It's just as important in City Ville as it is in real life to maintain a good balance of housing, businesses and community services. Otherwise, the population you do have becomes very unhappy.
But, like any real city, City Ville space is always at a premium. The quests are always requiring you to build some new business or community building and that leaves very little space for additional housing and decorations. How can you build more houses to increase your population when your city already seems too crowded? Here are 3 tips for expanding your City Ville Population when you're running out of space.
Collect your rents in a timely manner: Hover your cursor over one of the houses where you've already collected the rent. You'll see two numbers. The first number if the current population for that housing unit and the second number is the maximum that unit will allow.
Each time you collect the rent on your housing units there's a good possibility your population will increase. You'll know it when you see the little moving trucks drive into the area. You can increase your population by hundreds of people each day just by collecting your rents in a timely manner.
Upgrade your businesses: Each time you upgrade one of your businesses it increases the allowable population number, which in turn enables more people to move into the houses that you already have. Make sure you take care of all of your upgrades as quickly as possible. If necessary, ask your neighbors to help.
Upgrade your City Ville Mall: The mall is one feature that's often misunderstood but it's a huge asset when it comes to saving space. With each level you can move 4 of your existing businesses into the mall and get them off your city grid. A level 5 mall, then, will hold 20 businesses! How much more room would you have in your city if you could get rid of 20 businesses without losing the income?!

Collecting Your CityVille

Collecting your City Ville Hotel VIP rewards is an important part of the game, but a lot of players don't understand the process - or the value. The Beach Hotel is probably one of the most intriguing challenges ever added to the game and it's keeping a lot of players on their toes this summer. If you're one of them, read on to find out why collecting your City Ville Hotel VIP rewards is so important - and what you need to do to get them.
When you first check into your neighbor's City Ville Hotel, you're offered an opportunity to upgrade to a higher floor. The first upgrade costs 1500 coins and the second costs, if your neighbor has upgraded costs 5,000. With both of these upgrades you can earn valuable rewards - goods, experience points, decorations or resort businesses.
All of the rewards at this level are well worth the 1500 coin investment. Experience points help you level up faster and you get that energy boost with each level. Decorations, especially these decorations, help increase the payouts around your Hotel. And the resort businesses are great tourist attractions which help increase the number of tourists who check in.
You're also offered the opportunity to upgrade to VIP status and the benefit is that it costs you nothing extra. In fact, you can skip the first upgrade, save your coins, and go straight for VIP.
However, before you're granted that VIP room, the hotel owner has to approve your request and this is where most players lose out. After you request a VIP upgrade, the hotel owner will see a message inside their hotel and they must click on that approval button to grant you that upgrade.
When that happens, a message is posted on your wall stating that your neighbor thinks you're a VIP. You then need to click on that message and return to that hotel to accept the upgrade. If you don't, you don't get the additional reward.
Once the guest returns to check in again, the number of check-ins increases and the guest is awarded a prize from the same pool of prizes. If you receive duplicate businesses there's nothing that says you can't have more than one spa in City Ville. And how many times have you wished you could find just 500 more Goods to stock those last 3 businesses or just 5 more Experience Points so you could get that much-needed energy upgrade?
